Post Hi everybody! New to the guild, just getting started.

    Hi everyone!
I'm Raphios, been a long time fan of the cartographer's guild and thought it was about time to signup and start sharing my (rather moddest) work so far.

Here is the globe of my world. Not quite finished yet but I would like everyone's thoughts and critiques on it.

    Thanks alot all!

p.s. I'm still not sure how to use most of the functions in the forums so please bare with me...thanks

Sorry, there was a problem with uploading my .gif so I had to change the size and break it down into single pictures as a animated .gif didn't want to copy.

Thanks! I initially used MSpaint a few years back for the colouring after scanning in the pen and ink copy, then I got my hands on photoshop/illustrator which I tried to create a earth like texture. And just a couple months ago I used Fractal terrains along with the recent earthlike climate mod to help with the clime textures. And finally used illustrator to turn it into a working globe.

Saddly, I could not upload a animated globe on CG for you all to enjoy...

I am a big fan of FT, but I don't care for the look of alot of the "quick click" worlds that it generates. And I had already mapped my own world so I built it up by hand on FT too along time but I really happy with the results.

The world and everything in it is for a novel that I've been writing for the better part of 5 years now. I'll share more of the story for those that would like to know

    Thanks for the qudos!

    Sorry for the long reply

It's funny that you should notice that. I didn't care much for the way the mountains turned out in FT so I got a bit creative in PS. Is it actually possible to upload an animated .gif in CG?

Ohh and how does one add there avatar to their posts? I'm still getting my head around things...

    thanks!

Hi Raphios, Nice world with good coloring. The pics are bit small to see a lot of detail. I didnt download them tho. And we tried animated gifs and they were ok.

    Look forward to seeing more.
