Map Ganet's Island [Little maps for Little Encounters 7]

This has been a very busy year, even for the lockdown and all.
And I just recently realized it's been 2 years on patreon. Crazy. I hadn't realized it had been that long.

Well, this year we got into a journey via Little Maps, which I showed previously.

This is part 5.. oh wait, I never posted part 4. Ok.
Well, that actually works out ok, as part 4 figures into part 5.

Ok. Then first we need to visit the treehouse, before the island.
Though they are both islands. ;P

In April, I released the Treehouse. Thomas' daughter wanted to see a map with some flowers.
So I brought some flowers. And a treehouse.
And a house for the parents, so a little one wouldn't feel alone up in the treehouse.

I've gotten into doing variations and alternates lately, for patreon.
It seemed very challenging at first. It's definitely a bit more trouble when they are traditionally done pieces, as opposed to fully digital.

Then the next location was the larger island that the treehouse was part of.
That's May's project. Currently available are the daytime 4 seasons variants, with and without a 10' grid.
I tried a 5' grid, but it was way too small.

There are more variants to come. I have a number of them done, including weather and night variants.

Ganet is the badger fisher fellow who took us out in his boat from the beginning of the Journey series.
I hope everyone is doing well.
Stay safe and healthy, and have a great week. Cheers, J

Oh wow, that's fantastic John! It's a very evocative little island, and I'm intrigued to know where that path in the forest leads...

    Thanks George
A number of those paths go off to underground locations.
Maybe a forest portal would be cool too.

Good to hear you're busy (you are busy in a good way, aren't you? )
Those variations add a lot; they make the maps feel more alive, and as though the places have age. Not sure if I expressed my thoughts right, but I hope it comes across.

This totally has story drawn all over it. Fantastic job!

An amazing way of working with topography. Your little maps are really enjoyable; they give me some peace and remind of summertime in the Mediterranean.

I love how you depict the height in these maps! It is always so easily understood and clear. I also think I found the treehouse on the bigger map (at the very bottom of the page?). Excellent as always!
