Map Little maps for Little Encounters 6

Wow, it's been longer than I thought since I posted one of these.
Well, it's definitely time once again for... A Random Encounter!!!
This time I have several, mostly from patreon.

I started a journey this year, with little maps following the progress.
I offer other version for patrons, like night and storm/fog.
I'm going to try more versions, but it's harder when I'm starting out from a fully colored traditional piece.

Anyhoo, this is a lot of water
The first was from January and I asked patrons to decide if we had just arrived by boat or were heading out in one.

The decision was that we were heading out. And so we did, for february, on a boat.
For some fishing with Ganet, a badger fisher fellow, and his otter friends.

I was informed later by some folks that the images were confusing, not being clear that the samples were to show both day and night.
So I revised how I do them now. I was also informed this was more clear.

This one is from march. Passing by a small island watch tower, heading toward Ganet's island.

I might do some interior levels for this one. I'm trying to grow my patreon, since sometimes commissioned work can be unpredicatable.
[2019 was less income than other years, so it raised some concerns for me.]

I have soem other little maps that need to get posted at some point.
Just little random encounter locations. But now I'm going to include them into our journey.
More locations on a larger map for little adventures.

I hope everyone is doing well and staying healthy.
It was great to see that post from D this week.
I'm nearly done with my part of the Atlas award map results thing.
Hopefully i can pass those on to CP this week.
Ok, have a great week everyone. Cheers, J

Ooooh, maps with different time of day or weather conditions are amazing!

And thank you very much for showing perfectly that such a little map can also be a map.

An interior map of the watch tower would be really nice I think. =)

Great little maps John. Love them. Your patrons must be very happy to get 3 versions. Storm/Fog is something new I see. Good idea.

I really enjoy how you show the rocks under the water as well as above the water. Gives a great deal of perspective!

You know what ? I just realized, seeing those together, they'd be perfect hanged on the walls of my three year old daughter's room. I mean, they are wonderful for RPG purposes, setting the mood, helping the players picture a place and feel its atmosphere but they have also that childish vibe that would be perfect fora child's book. I really love the series and cannot wait for more

    Awesome work John!
I love Thomas' idea. My daughter is 4 next week and the "journey begins" would fit perfectly in her room
Take care on those complicated days!

It's a bit more challenging to alter these as they are traditionally done, but I'm giving it a go.
I forgot to scan this one at the pencil stage, which is the best for making changes in ps, as I have a decent pencil brush that's passable.
That said, the process seems to be working ok so far.
Several people said light house, so maybe it will have that at the top.

I just started the 3 versions.
I had done just day and night previously.
I will try more and see what works.

I have spent a lot of time looking at cool coastal pics online and tired to convey the look of coastal areas that I've seen.

Go for it. I think the patron sizes are larger and maybe large enough for framing.
I can do inprnt, but as I never really sell on inprnt, i just sort of don't put much up there.
There is definitely a children's book feel, or maybe sort of fairytale feel to a lot of what I've been doing for the last few years.
I've definitely been in that headspace for a while.

Yeah, I like the idea of a big journey for the little ones too.
