    Wip System Defense Cruiser

Working on a simple technical layout for a space ship.
    Ideas or proposals?

A slightly faded white line grid instantly makes it look more blueprint like

Yeah, I think a grid might be a good idea. Also on some blueprint maps I've seen, some people add a slight gradient to the blue background, or darken it slightly towards the edges.

    Thank you for the feedback.
I've added a few more details and a hex pattern in the background - I think it looks better than a square grid.

Love the style, this would be perfect for the Alien RPG

    I like this design...

But I've looked at this a couple of times and the lower two drawings in the right-hand side confused me.
Today I looked at the dimensions and finally realized that those two were for the combat drone,
and that the right-hand column is really a secondary drawing.

I think it would help if it was more obvious that the right column was not part of the main ship drawing.
    A couple of possibilities:
    - Use a larger font size for the combat drone title to emphasize that it is a different set of drawings
    - Move the drone dimension call-outs closer to the drone drawings to provide a visual separation from the main ship drawings
    - A simple line box (dashed or solid) around the drone column would really help, and that's what I would expect to see on a real engineering drawing.

It's delightfully simple, great use of the style. The one part of it, the way you did it, reminds me of popsicle sticks though... hee...

I agree with that critique, I did also have to think a lot to figure out what was going on.
