Question How do I draw a glacier?

The map is going to be black and white, and I just can't get the 3-D shape down. Not sure where to add lines and such. I could use some advice..

Can you show us what you have so far? It's easier to offer advice/suggestions when we can see what you're trying to accomplish, and I am sure there are plenty of folk that will step up once they can see what's happening.

Take a look on Google Earth for some real glaciers and determine what you can do with your skill and style to get that idea across.

You may find some other geographical things that are more of what you want as well. For example, are you after a glacier or an Iceberg?

I'd say imagine it like a bead of water siting on a flat surface and then draw that edge like you would a hill, and then put fractures into it and anywhere the edge may flow off an overhang.

    So maybe something like this?:
