    Wip Concession (City map WIP)

Hey everyone, here's a commission I'm getting close to finishing up. I'm curious if anyone has any comments or suggestions to improve this map. Let me know what you think!

Here's a progression of the map

This is looking really good. The only thing I would say is that it feels like there should be more roads and paths extending out into the farmland for a city of this size, both to access the farmland more easily and connect to small towns and villages nearby. Of course, there may be an in-world reason as to why this is the case and if so then ignore this comment.

The map looks great. I like the shadows of the mountains especially and the addition of trees along the edges of the farms. If I may make a suggestion, why not add a beach along the river, if not the sea?

This really looks fantastic. I love the height of the cliffs and the form you’ve given them. I also like all the hedge rows to break up the fields and offer them protection from prevailing winds. Little things like that are awesome. I do agree it could use some little side roads to help break things up a bit. But overall this just looks excellent. Nice work.

Thanks! They were probably the fastest part of the map.

Thanks for the feedback That's actually one of the things I still wanted to add to the map, but if you didn't remind me I may have forgotten.

I did try to indicate a bit of a beach at the ports by using a lighter color, but a beach along the river isn't a bad idea. Thanks for the suggestion1

One of my favorite features on maps is farmland lined with trees. I love the mosaic pattern and feel like somehow it makes it look very picturesque. Will do, side roads are coming.

The city has an excellently comfortable feel to it. For the right side to have flourished, and for suburbs to form, I think there would normally be a 2nd road of commerce, leading into either Blue Hill or Two Bridge. Also, a landing for river barges might have grown perhaps, north of the two bridges, because the currents might be treacherous where the river chasm meets the tidal sea.
