    Question Cartographic Books/History

Does anyone have any recommendations for books on the history/science of cartography? I'm looking to read an interesting book about cartography that isn't just a reference/appendix type book. Something that is semi-interesting, but still teaches about cartography fundamentals and possibly the origins/history.

    Cheers!

Maybe take a look on Amazon... searched books for: history cartography mapping, and a handful of possibly interesting ones showed up. I haven't read any, but I'd be interested to find a good one too, if someone can suggest one. with lots of pictures

Searching books for history cartography mapping would be a nice option to go with. Other options like visiting amazon seems to be great as well. Thanks for any good contribution.
