Map Enemy Gods - The World - Fantasy map commission

    Hey everyone,

I was commisionned lately to make the map for the french version of John Wick's RPG Enemy Gods (Author of Legend of the Five Rings, 7th Sea and Houses of the Blooded), a sword and sorcery game. The French RPG will be released this week and I'm finally allowed to show the map of the world. Done in PS, original size 19"x27"

Another blow on my self esteem... great as usual Max

Is it full resolution, or can we get a piece with full resolution? =)

    Awesome mountains, beautiful color palette.
By the absence of green tones, I assume this world is quite harsh and post-apocalyptic? Let alone the names

Damn, Max you have such serious skill.

How do you get your landcover colors to blend so well from one to the next?

No, the original file is an A0 one though it's printed in 67x48cm. I'm sorry but I prefer to keep the web version at a low resolution. The client wouldn't be very happy to see his map available at full resolution anywhere

Some regions are a bit harsh indeed. though there's some green tones on the map. Maybe not on your screen?

Ah well, I tried to really take care on colors and textures here, using a lot of texture/color layers, with a work on fading, opacity and blending layers modes.

This is an absolut gorgeous map, Max! I'd Rep you for this, but as i just did some days ago, i will not be able to. But have a Like.

Oh and how about a higher resolution than what you showed us but still not the full resolution....i'm sure the client would be ok with that, right? ^^

I really hope to see you doing a fantasy map of your own in this style!

Very nice work, Max! The relief, the colors and blending of textures, the rivers. Compass and labels. All very nice!
