    Default Filipino Noob

Hi guys, I'm new but I've been an avid fan of maps and scifi/fantasy and rpgs. I'm very interested recently to learn how to make city maps coz so far all I can do are nation or world maps. Anyway here's a sample of a map from a story I'm trying to write of one of the many worlds within and sharing A world. The race is called Parnians occupying the continent or "world" of Parnon. Done in cs2 and used a plugin called flaming pear to seed and generate the world map. The world in my story is 7 times bigger than earth btw and Parnon consists of 85 countries within itself and this race is sorta Roman/Greek civ based but in a science fantasy setting. (Not yet that good compared to most works here but I was satisfied with the finished one anyway. I'll be doing the other worlds in the next few weeks.)

Very nice coloring on the terrain, there. Good job.

Thanks unfortunately I cannot take credit, for the terrain, all I did was select dominant colors and assign which goes to forests and deserts and percentage of land to sea... then the computer generates it through the seeds I input. not much art on my part.

You still had to pick the landscape you like. And you've found one heck of a good one.

I'm very impressed with the complexity, in terms of the number of countries you've got. It's cool to see the two maps of the same world also.

Your border shapes are good, but are they meant to follow suitable physical features? (As would be expected in many, but not all, cases). It's hard to tell given they're not shown on the physical map.

I'm not sure about the black oceans on the political map, and it might be nice to see rivers on the physical one.

thanks, regarding the country lines, yeah they do follow the landscape, however, its layers upon layers of drawings for the countries and the lines are just stroke effect on the layers, I dunno yet how to show the lines without the colored countries itself. regarding the rivers, the generator didn't provide for it, so I'm thinking I'll just show it when I make the city maps (which I'm stoked to do) or I'll just really hae to make a new layer for it. thanks for the feedback.
