Map Achamenid Empire Fantasy Map Commission

So, I've been a little busy lately and with not much time to be around here
I do miss the time to get inspired by all you great artists.

Today I just want to share one of my latest commissions. I really liked the way this map turned out.
Hope you like it too, and feel free to leave your comments if you spot things where I can improve.

Wow, that's beautiful. Great layout, gorgeous soft texture, awesome mountains. The one nitpick I have (and it's a tiny one) is that some of the rivers intersect the mountains a little jarringly. Have you considered tapering or fading them out where they flow from the mountains?

But really, a stunning, rep-worthy map.

That is an interesting comment. I never thought of having the rivers fading because I am afraid that they get a little lost, but yeah, sometimes I feel like the river lines end up a little strong, not too different from the coast lines. I will try to have them a little faded in my next map and see how it works. Thanks

    That's splendid Mystic
And I quite like how you've presented it too.

Oh sorry, I didn't mean fade the whole river (although that might look interesting too), I meant fade or taper the ends, where they overlap the mountains.

Yeah, I understood. I'm applying it already on the map I'm doing and it gives an interesting effect that the river starts a little faded and becomes stronger as it flows to the sea.
Thank you so much for the advise

That's one hell of a map with a very flowing style, a lot of harmony throughout the map.

A nice map! I kind of have to concur with D on the rivers though, but other than that it's a fine piece. I like the way you colored/shaded the mountains.

It's a lovely map. I always find it hard to map real-world locations in a fantasy style, but you've done a great job here
