WIP Dragons mouth - steampunk commission

I was recently commissioned for some maps, with a few cities maps, for a steampunk setting. The client allowed me to start a WIP thread so here we go. First city is Dragons mouth, a circular walled city build under a glass dome and partially under an overhanging rock. I'm starting with the blocks layout.

Love the city layout! Very curious to see how it develops Will there be many maps for this setting?

I've asked Max to do three city maps so far, with more to come if our kickstarter is successful. I will also be opening up for the opportunity for people to add their own cities to the setting at a higher backer level, with a map done by Max!

Interesting start! I do love a good city map. I am curious as to where you'll go with it.

I already like it!... and need to try a city map sometimes.

A "vauban style" for the wall on the west? I'm amazed to see how many fantasy cities are based on a disc shape. Wonder where does that come frome.

@Ilanthar : this part of western wall was re-built after the glass dome partially crashed on the surrounded wall and broke it (as far as I understood). The circular shape comes here from the round dome all over the city.
