    Map A Vision of Greece

A little one hand drawn on a 21,5x21,5 cm paper sheet for my mother in law who loves Greece. I'm pretty found of the compass here. Also, it's my first real world map.

The map is gorgeous, Thomas ! I share your love for the compass, and especially about how you used the pattern of the border for the compass shadows : brilliant !

Excellent ! The compass, parchment & frame are clearly a success.

And not the last, if I had to bet.

Great work on this. I love the torn parchment effect. It works beautifully.

That's a beautiful map! I love the compass, which somehow looks like carved out of stone and I really like the simplicity of the mountains.

I agree with everyone else, a lovely map. The Rose and Border have a very "damascus steel" feel to them. Can we expect a colour version?

Yes...perhaps your mother-in-law would like a color version as a follow up gift? And then we would benefit here.

I love the way you draw the periphery/edges of your maps. It inspires me to try to be a bit more interesting with my own borders.

Thanks Neyasha I hadn't realized the carved effect but you are right. About the mountains, the size forced me to keep them simple.

Thanks damon I've been struggling not to put colors to it as time is a scarce currency these days but I've got a few ideas, so, maybe

Thanks aeshnidae, I'm glad to spread back some inspiration as I got so much from the amazing folks of this community.

I've not been very present on the forum lately and I'd like to apologize for my belated answer to your kind words. I'm back at work, my daughter is in her "daddy" phase, working commissions and the knee is wearing me off. I lurk around the forum but only comment sometimes but the maps you guys post are as amazing as ever, thanks for sharing them !
