Camfor, the City of the Sun.
Experimenting with a method of placing the city blocks, especially the high-density "slums"-type areas.

It doesn't look bad but it could be even more packed. Buildings like townhouses, with no space between them. A bit like this : http://www.italymagazine.com/sites/d...?itok=kHrSsl81
I think there is generally just 1 row but sometimes you get2 row of buildings without alleys in the back.
Well I guess the problem is that it's difficult to show with your current style.

Well... Never did city maps seriously so I will follow this thread as well and see how it can help me in future projetcs. Keep it up Auke!
We all wish to create, but do we really create?
What we draw and what we write is part of us.
No we do not create, we simply discover who we are.

Nice work on this! Always satisfying seeing the buildings slowly build up and fill out!
A narrow building could be as small as 6m large.
Just a coincidence, I was looking at a building in Angers, it's about 6m x 9m. Or 20 by 30 feet.
