Post Gloomy Fantasy Campaign World Map

Hi. As you can guess, I'm looking for a map to be made.

    Commission:
I've come to the realization that commissioning a map is the best way to go. I value the time and skill this takes, so I'm willing to pay the cartographer via PAYPAL (for greatest convenience). You can contact me clint54 --at-- hotmail --dot- com (replace --at-- with @ and --dot-- with a period) with your fee, etc. This map will be used for a home RPG game. I want something nice to print up as a 24x36 inch poster to hang up in the game area and to put on a campaign website. I want something pretty to stare at.

    Timing:
I'd like for the map to be completed by mid October. But naturally, earlier would be better.

    Style:
I'm looking for a color map, but with muted colors and an overall tone that's moody, gloomy and perhaps carries a sense of longing. Maybe an indication of paper texture. It doesn't have to be in a hand drawn style (not partial to a specific style...just want the mood), but should feel like the map is on some sort of physically printed material. As an example, perhaps a cartographer in a magical world using arcane methods to create maps on parchment?

While I don't have a specific style in mind, I'll link to a couple of the finished maps that appealed to me:

Your style doesn't have to match the above.

    Description of the Map:
The map should have one large central/dominant continent and three smaller ones. I want the landmasses to be long, spindly, twisted, knotted up like a thorn bush, almost maze-like in their connections. Like it would be difficult to travel in a straight line as the land is broken up quite a bit by several narrow bays and seas. Lots of mountains, forests, and swamps/marshes.

One of the oddities of the map is there are sections of the world that have disappeared, so the cartographer would need to come up with a way to indicate these sections on the map (while still showing what used to be there) and provide me with a layer/icon or some method to update these disappearing regions on the online map as the campaign progresses.

As far as details on size. It's a world map I want to print as 24(h)x36(w) inch poster, so whatever pixel size is needed for that.

    Copyright:
I just want to be able to use the map however I want it indefinitely and the same goes for you, except for selling it or rights to someone else.

I might suggest looking through the Finished Maps forum and linking to a particular style(s) you prefer.

Thanks for the suggestion. Don't want to close-off anyone who might have a different style though, so will dig a little deeper in the forum.

I've selected a cartographer for the job, thanks for reading the request.
