Quick experiment with textures and layers
I had a few minutes free to do something fun. So I made this quick map, as an experiment. Mainly made with clouds, selective deletes and random textures. I borrowed the land mass from the lite challenge. I am pretty pleased with the results in less that 20 minutes. Comments welcome.

Hmmm are those mountains in the center? Cause they look more like canyons to me...
