Map historical maps for conquer club (risk like game online)

drawing for ConquerClub is quite a challenge
    maximum size, gameplay legibility,...
but also nice because it's not a too heavy workload

my first two map for them May 2008 January 2009

then this one October 2008 September 2009

    and also unedited

Like the French map. Love the hachured border. I'm gonna have to try this!

why do you find it funny
you mean the political division of HRE
    it was some gameplay issue
I used the actual "kreis" concept which really existed
and transformed it in a simplified geographical interpretation

this map is graphically based on historical graphic reference
the background has an very fainted vertical hatching like some parchment watermark (filigrane)
the balck and white alternated border was the way to divide longitude and lattitude
and inside each "region" the hatching is the b/w heraldic code for colours

The word sounds funny, at least for me as Austrian. Of course I recognized the idea behind it immediately when I looked on the map - I know German and Austrian history very well, including the many concepts and ideas to bring order into the HRE.
