    Wip December/January Challenge: isometric campsite

First map. I probably should have sketched something out, but I'm just sorta' winging it.

I added some trees, to see if I could get the right feel for isometric trees. Is it clear that the trees continue up, but are cut off for the sake of clarity?

Hehe, nice, at first I thought those were the Lemon brigade but then I realized those weren't Lemon slices over the doors

Oh yeah, and welcome to the guild!

I've got a similar tree issue with my map. I think you might achieve a better effect by putting a transparency gradient over the stumps, so that the trees fade out rather than end in what looks like a stump.

I'd leave the stumps without the dashed lines, they look fitting as stumps since you need firewood for the fire. As for other trees, I'd use full trees as a curtain behind the tents to isolate the campsite and create the dark and ominous mood setting. In the foreground use some bushes and rocks. Looks great so far, though.

    Default December/January Challenge:isometric campsite update

    ### LATEST WIP ###

Added a stream and a few trees. I'm still trying to get some trees into the foreground without cluttering up the map too much.

@Ascension: I went with the suggestion of making the trees stumps.

@DEDDESO: Freehand in Photoshop. The grid is a quick render from 3DSMax to get the height distortion for the stream.
