Map June/July Lite Challenge Entry: Drakanyama

Hi. I've been lurking. =) I started this on the 6th when I got inspired enough by the challenge to actually try it. Haven't gotten much sleep. **sheepish grin**

The world of Drakanyama, with the Legend of Drakani around the rim. For those of you who don't care to read upside down, it reads as follows:

Five hundred years an age of wrath,
    And none could intervene,
Til one was born of Earth and Sun,
The dragon who would choose The Path.

He shed a tear for each of them,
Each one who had a scar,
And washed away the fears of men,
    Water cleansing land of war.

For days the dragon's tears did fall,
    For days beyond and more,
Til oceans rose to cover earth,
And not a rock sprang fore.

What will we do, the people cried,
Their homes swallowed by the sea,
    Do not worry, came reply,
You'll make a home of me.

    With his sisters circling round,
He lay his head near Yoki's face,
And Father Rala watching over him,
    In Mother Yama's warm embrace.

    Finally he wept again,
    Five children of his kind,
    To keep alive his memory,
    And this lesson to remind.

Tread lightly and with open hearts,
    Live quietly as brothers,
    Take care Drakani's mighty gift,
    And nurture it for others.

For if you keep your fetters snug,
With feet firmly in the past,
    You shall never know tomorrow,
And your kind will end at last.

You just need ### followed by " Latest WIP " and another ###. I still don't know what happens if I were to type this in on someone elses thread so if that's not clear enough just look at anyone else's entry and see how it goes. Do that and you are golden.

Pretty nice looking entry too. Once again we have a bunch this round.

Thanks Jax. I think I did that right, but it didn't seem to change the location.

How'd you do that? You actually need the ### text stuff above your image. Usually, it's there because it's the last thing you enter before you upload your image but maybe you forced it down there? See if you can get it above the thumbnail though.

Oooh, pretty! I'm sure someone with the ability to edit the thread title will be along directly, Chashio. Oh, and thanks for jumping in with an entry in the first post - bravo!

Thanks! As to the 'first post entry' bit... I don't think I gave myself much time to think about it. haha

Well, my map still isn't showing up with the thumbnails, so I thought I'd try this again...

Sometimes, people's threads are not picked up and they have to be added manually... i just added your post and name to the July Lite list, so whenever the scrapper runs each night, it would pick up any updates. Also, I kicked off the update manually, so it's showing now.

Thank you very much. I suppose I'll get the hang of things eventually. =)
