Aerie Fief is a region of land held in trust for the the youngest son of Lord Bonelli the Bald. It is a mountainous region with a good river system.
I am looking forward to fleshing out the details of this map.

This looks so hand done. Very convincing.

This is looking great. I have to ask is there a tutorial on to do hactures for mappings. It is a technique I been struggling with for sometime.
Robert, I have never seen a tutorial on hachures. There are so many different ways that they are used on maps; I think it completely depends on the style of map you are trying to make. Wikipedia does have some basic rules for hachures, but that is all I found.
Here is the latest update. I think this one is about finished except for minor tweaking if I have time.

I have been considering removing the trees and eagle. I really can't decide. I would love some feedback about whether you think they add to the map or take away from it.
Just me and based on my initial looking at the map I like the tree in the bottom right corner but I don't get the upper left tree with the eagle coming in from the side like that...is the world warped or in a bowl or something?
