    Default Chevalia

I was checking updates on Google+ and one of my friends on there Lise Bjerregaard Nielsen had made some cool line art of a horse and said that she would love to see peoples take on coloring it. WELL, being a cartographer - how could I pass up cool lines like these, so a quick trip through Photoshop later .... tada... Chevalia was created

    Hope you like it

I see no one has settled this wild and rugged land yet

lol.. nope, it was just a quick little map to play with the lines - for now the land is owned by the horse lords - highly intelligent horses that control the flocks. When humans find these lands they will see that the horses here are not your normal variaty (totally pulling story out of my hat right now *lol*)

Lol, a challenge where we could put in all sorts of 'hidden' goodies. We did a map with a secret in the very early days, we should have that again as a challenge.

Beautifully done calligraphy. Your compass object is placed nicely, very well colored, and adds a balance allowing the land to "lean back". The land is fragmented in a way to suggest a dragon looking left - I like that very much. Your relief work reminds me of Eduard Imhof - and fitted together like a mosaic.

You may consider it just something you tossed off out of curiosity but the result is certainly worthy.

    Regards, Gary
