    Map Makkathran

A map of the city of Makkathran from the Void Trilogy by the great British sci-fi novelist Peter F. Hamilton
I used the general layout Judith Fell's map as base for this new map.
As I was told, PFH likes the map.

Wow, that's impressive!! I had an idea for a circular gated city/town, Erisenna for my fantasy adventure novel "Goddess of the Golden Ocean" - I may have to remember this when it comes time for the map of Erisenna. of course I don't picture Erisenna that big in my head, and it's more of a rectangular/square shaped gated town.

But this is very very good. I would need one of the maps if I were ever there.

Excellent map Sap! Liked the books, not too much Deus ex-machina at the end, or at least more in keeping. Going to do a Commonwealth Route Guide next? Something along the lines of the London Underground Map...

    With the various gates?

Ah, the Commonwealth Saga ... I always love PFH's books until the deus ex machina last hundred pages. Night Fall as well.

    Thanks Tigon.
Before I do another map I would have to read the books again.

Beautiful map, but I must say! I would get soooo lost on those streets. LOL.

A fascinating combination of highly structured planned design combined with a wild organic feel.

This is a breathtaking map. Surprised me that all the Pools are the same size, but i dont doubt your research and for me is clear with the origin of the city

I haven't read those books yet but the map has definitely inspired me to do so. I'm assuming the reason for such a compact city would be explained in the books.

Upon closer inspection I see a loot of misaligned streets and textures as well as a few little empty 'holes'. Whilst I understand that such a large city would take quite some time to actually map out I feel that it is cheating to just copy and paste sections.

I really hate coming in here with the only negative opinion.

The detail in this map is absolutely bonkers, and I find the layout of the city very interesting. Great map all around man.

Wow, thanks guys for digging up this wonderful map!

Another treasure of the guild I could have missed! That's an excellent map Sapiento, and the almost palpable atmosphere of it.
