    I have reterned again, and continue my map...))
    need advice about mountains, how draw more realastic mountains with clouds and light efects?

    How much of your world is this? It's hard to think about how mountains should look without a general sense of scale, I think.

    HI Harg, welcome back! As far as realistic mountains go, I use the method outlined by Ascension in his Atlas style map (i.e. generate clouds, copy and paste them where you want them, fade the edges). I'd check out his tutorial to see how he does it. If you are using GIMP (rather than PS), I've recently put together a tutorial that, among other things, explains cloud patterns I use to create mountains.

    thanks I will use your toutorial, clouds very difficult for me, but I like it

    Since you use bump to represent terrain height, now your bump effect on the coastline give the impression the whole coast is made of cliffs.

    I experiment color gamma of the woods and mountains (northern part of the world)
    I need ideas how to make a coniferous forest, bogs and the snow-covered wood? and make high and low coast

    Those rivers, I love them. And please, oh please tell me how you got your mountains to look like that, they're amazing.
