Question Splitting a large map in Campaign Cartographer 3

Okay, so I'm working on a world map for a fantasy world that I'm creating that I've attached (this is my first ever map, and I'll likely revise it several times before I'm done with it, I know that it's not terribly great at this point).

However, part of what I want to do is to divide up the map and create more detailed maps for different areas of the main continent. When I drew the continent, however, I did not do so in pieces so I just have on massive land mass.

I've tried using the 'split' tool, but when I do it just makes the land (the green) vanish and leaves the outline.

Can anyone help me understand how to break up the huge land mass into smaller CC3 maps so I can put more detail into these?

    Thanks in advance.

RobA has wrote a way to do this showing you how to zoom in but the problem is that it works with the alpha so in your case you will have to redo the texture for your zoom in land.
