Question Is there no way to make precise positions in GIMP's gradient editor?

Zooming in will generally get me where I want, but I'm surprised at the apparent lack of ability to mark out the segments more precisely.
    Am I missing something?

I just want to know how to make a gradient symmetrical. Is there some mirror tool I'm missing?

@Jekanl - You can zoom in with the editor to position handles as precicely as you want. Failing that editing the GGR file manually is simple enough as it is plain text.

@Jabberwockxeno - There is no mirror tool, but you can replicate selected segments then select and flip the copied segments... same effect as mirroring.
