Finished Map of The Realm
Map of The Realm completed in Gimp 2.8 over many, many hours. Thanks to all the people here for their tutorials and suggestions.
The Realm is a republic of 12 clans who are occupying the lands of the ancient immortal illiri. This realm is the location for my fantasy series, "The Illiri Messiah."

Cool map! I like the style. The mountains are a bit dark.
Care to tell us more about your world? And about your book?
Btw will we see the maps for the grey parts in the future? I hope so!

Thanks for the comment. I'll look at lightening the mountains. I'd like to tone down the color just a bit of the whole map, but haven't figured out how to do it yet, and preserve the overall effect.
