As the title says a commissioned piece.
I took the opportunity to do a pencil drawing and then slightly refined and coloured it in PS. To give the client some choice I did three different versions; for the third one I used the oil painting filter.

I think I want to live there. In that tall building, first on the left after entering through the big gate. I'd have my hobby room and library on the second floor, with bookshelves up to the tall ceiling, and… well, what I want to say is that it's very evocative The first color variant is by far the best, in my opinion.
that is so lovely! I like the first one as well.
Very nice! I love the buildings. As Lingon and Domino44, I prefer the coloration of the first one.
I like the first one a lot. The defenses remind me of Age of Empire 2 where forest was used as wall since the enemy could not pass between the trees.
Yeah I agree with the others - the first version is gorgeous. The other two are good, but just don't hit the spot as much as the first one
Edit: just noticed that the wall of the castle doesn't continue behind the trees, I guess those villagers might have a bit of a security problem

A pretty lil' town indeed! The first clor version is better imho.
Thank you, guys.
The village is surrounded by dense and dangerous vegetation, so long walls are not necessary.
A lovely map! It reminds me of Settlers. I can see small people walking around, doing daily tasks! Excellent!
