    Default Ruined towers

This is map of an old ruined fortification. The two tower remains are still visible but most of the walls and other buildings are long gone. A small path weaves through this abandon area that has become the last resting place for many incautious travelers.

EDIT: added boarder to the map...

It's very nice design. Looks like it would be good for rpg use. How high are the ruined tower walls supposed to be at this point? If they're going to be higher than the other ruins, maybe some more shading would make them seem deeper.

That is beautiful! I love the rock work. Where did you find those textures or did you make them yourself? Either way that is a well done scene!

Very beautiful; it looks almost photorealistic.

Egkard nearly pitched over the neck of his horse as it stumbled over a large rock in the narrow rutted path. He mumbled a few old curses and resettled himself on the saddle. He had traveled far from the city to get to this forsaken place and was beginning to wonder why. These ruins were far older than the old barkeep who had sold him the map had claimed. Surely there was nothing to loot here......

    Excellent work.

Thank you guys for all the comments. You picked it up correctly this is a designed RPG in mind. Well all of my maps are intended more or less for RPG.
jugabyte: For the rock work I use standard images of various rocks and such and then tweak them to fit the map (make them old, mossy etc). See attached with samples from the original images vs the final result.
jtougas: What a coincidence, I had used this map in our campaign for exactly the same plot you described in your post (except that we had a party of four travelers instead of just one).

Really nice! Photorealistic indeed. I think it would benefit from a very simple frame and cartouche though, as the title looks a little random there.

I'll look into that tomorrow. Frames are not my strongest, but we'll see.

Awesome! you've really managed the depth of field really well - it's difficult to do.
