    Map Edrion

    Hey,

This is the first map I've done that I would consider "finished". I took a part of my larger world map and zoomed in to the relevant region for my planned novel, and followed Gidde's wonderful tutorial for hand drawn map styles.

I think there's a lot more that could be done, but I'm happy with it for my first map (and it lets me get on with the writing at least!)

Edit: And immediately after posting I noticed two errors... forgot to clear the background behind two of the text labels... oh well...

Very nice - what software did you use to create this map?

I used Gimp so I could follow the tutorial exactly (had trouble finding equivalent steps in Photoshop) and used Inkscape for the labelling.
