This is my first ever attempt at a map really, there are some things I could have done like a border or other fancy things but for the most part I think I am done. It was pretty hard to do at first, Pretty happy with it though, it goes with a sci-fi story that I have, but never fully wrote down. Not really sure what else to saybut thanks for the support!

May I ask about your mountains? They look like they could be real Earth mountains that you've layered in...like shots of the Alps from satellite or something. How did you get that look?

Most of them are real mountains just edited quite a bit. I found some relief maps on google images that suited the areas I wanted, greyscaled them and lowered the brightness and contrast, scaled them- put them on their own layer and used hard light in photoshop, blended in best I could. I had about like 350 layers of them.Originally Posted by xpian
