    Default Cartographer at large

Hello! I'm a cartographer from Minneapolis. Mostly I do straight-ahead mapping—you can see my portfolio at http://incasellc.com/nat — but I do love me the older graphic technologies and I've been trying to find places to exercise that love. In particular, I've been focusing on print technologies from about 100 years ago, and the styles of John Bartholomew and Sons of Edinburgh from that era. My most finished piece in this style is at http://incasellc.com/nat/projects/th...-of-the-world/.

I'm also interested in older styles, with a particular focus on older printed maps rather than manuscript maps. I'd love to explore replicating wood-cut maps digitally sometime.

Anyway, Glad to be here. I tried registering earlier, and somehow got caught in a limbo where I couldn't comment or post or anything. If some admin wants to take down the natcase profile, feel free. It's good to be out here where I can talk to all you nice people!

Howdy. It's always nice to have people here who have technical knowledge since there are a bunch of us amateur artist types. Knock about and see what grabs your eye, the vaults are extensive so it could take some time.
