    Default Greetings!

Hello! I just decided to join these forums because I'm a total newb to the mapmaking scene, but would like to get better at map making.

My focus is primarily on sci-fi maps (sorry gents, but I would rather have a suit of Power Armor and a Plasma Rifle than a Magic Wand with a Cloak of Wisdom).

The only software I currently have is Campaign Cartographer 3 (with Cosmographer, because of course I had to have that), and Adobe Photoshop Touch on my Galaxy Note 10.1.

As for roleplaying games, I'm really into Warhammer 40,000 RPGs, but I'm open to anything modern or sci-fi. High Fantasy I really tend to be disinterested in, but I have exceptions. If there was a fantasy game I had to get into, it would most likely be Planescape or Numenera -- I love how unique those worlds are.

Well, that's my intro! I'm probably going to head on over to the software forums because I already got a need for some pointers in sci-fi map design, using CC3.

    Oh, right! My apologies.

Of course I mean everyone. I should not use vocabulary that implies otherwise.

    Welcome, Larchus!

You're in good company. I'm here to learn to make maps for my game of The Strange, which is the second game from MCG after Numenera. It's been compared to Planescape. Check it out if you haven't.
