Tutorial Realistic mountains w/ Photoshop and Wilbur

    What you should expect:
An instructions set for making consistent and decent looking mountainous regions with Photoshop and Wilbur based on what has worked for me in the past plus some wisdom from Waldronate's tutorials

    What you shouldn't expect:
A general guide for Wilbur, this is for mountains, nothing else (your plains and coasts will look ugly and unnatural if you don't know how to make them)

    Download [7.0Mb]
    realmountphotowilbur.pdf

    And the tutorial asset
    Brush.png

I will follow this guide with another one explaining the process in Photoshop for a final render.

I've been using Wilbur quite a bit lately to get some more realistic erosion into my displacement maps for terrain. This tutorial definitely had some useful advice for me! Thanks so much.

This is really really nice. Does it play well with other land features, like the rest of the map?

Wonderful little walk-through, and beautifully presented I might add! Thanks for sharing.
