    Default Village of Alfirm

Well it isn't really a village. It was actually originally a farmstead.

I did this in an hour or two for some practice. I don't really like how it turned out though. I didn't like how it was turning out early on but I thought I'd at least finish this one.

This is the last stop on the way to Argot. The Duke's men like to engage in the practice of gibbeting looters they catch alive along the road.

I'm not sure why you didn't like this Larb. I think it's wonderful.
What about it is not to your liking?
I like pretty much like everything about it myself.

I agree. I quite like this.

Thanks for the compliments. It's hard to say exactly what it is - I've just found something unsatisfying about my linework lately. It has led me to abandon several things.

I feel your pain about not being satisfied with your own work. I find my self getting bored with my work at times and then I start nit picking and a lot of times don't finish things.

But as for this map, I think it's great. It has a simple elegance to it. if I HAD to suggest something, I would say maybe add just a hint grass color variation (with some more green). That might add a little contrast with the heavy yellows in this piece. But really, you don't need to change a thing.

Keep up the good work and try not to be too hard on your self

Well, I can definitely understand the subjective nature of evaluating one's own work - for good or ill. I've been there myself.
From the outside, not knowing what about your linework isn't sitting well with you, I can't offer much.
I hate to think we're missing out on other works of yours due to that.
I don't see anything wrong with this piece.
Looking again, I had to add that I really like the grass lines.

Well, I hope it resolves. I am quite fond of your work and am always glad to see new works.

I also think it's amazingly beautiful.

Beautiful piece! I love your maps, you know that.

I'm not an expert at all, but maybe the perspective of some elements seem strange to me (the tavern, the shop and the left tree). When I watch it as a whole, something doesn't match.

Hey, please, don't give up, I would hate to miss your incredible works.

That's excellent, Larb! It's clean, efficient and artistic. In fact, I wish I could draw like you do.
