Default Is there a program that would let me wrap equirectangular to sphere and back again?

So, I'm looking for a program that would let me take an equirectangular map and map it to a sphere, then reassign the position of the poles on the sphere and unwrap it back to an equirectangular format.

I was inspired by the planetary tilt scenarios on WorldDreamBank's Planetocopia (NSFW) and wanted to have a go at reassigning the poles and seeing what came out. I haven't been able to to find a program to do this, however.

    Can anyone help me out?

    Matthew's Map Projection Software.

You could do the same with Flaming Pear Flexify filter in Photoshop, but Flexify is pretty expensive, MMPS is free and MMPS really isn't that difficult to use.

Thanks, that looks like it's what I've been looking for.

Now I just need to get it to work on Windows.

Oh man. Thank you so much for saving me from thinking I had to write this myself.
