    Map Crysalian Empire - Remake

Long, long time ago I did a map of the Crysalian Empire.

During the last weeks I created a remake, now entirely digital (the previous was drawn with a pen and then scanned and coloured). For the border decoration I took some inspiration from a game map I've seen.

The labels are in a faux Latin/Greek mix language.

    Done in PS and Illustrator.

Both are gorgeous in their own way, but this one is just... awesome. Your style is evolving to look very similar in some instances to the old Lone Wolf maps, and I can't give you any higher compliment, because I love those maps like a thirteen year old girl loves Justin Bieber.

I feel kinda dirty for polluting a map thread with the Beeb.

This looks just amazing, everything done perfect! Have some rep from my small storage

I have one burning question. Please tell me (if there is) the story behind the blue trees/leaves?

    Cheers,
    Barek

Thank you all! It took some effort to create this so I'm glad it turned out so good.

@Barek333: It is said that the blue tree (the kyanodentro) has special powers that blesses its surroundings. In past times the old kings and nobles made pilgrimages to the ruins of Old Dorotia in the high mountain valley to benefit from these powers. Only there the trees grew. 200 years ago Herat of Dyrrakion, the great scientist, managed to cultivate the trese in the lower lands and Emperor Samon VII decreed that it may only be planted in the vicinity of the capital, Auranopolis.
So much for the blue tree.

Thanks Sapiento, that sounds awesome. Love when there is a nice background story.
