Default Maptool 1.4 and Isometric maps

    Hi All,

I thought I would make a post to mention that the Original, Best and absolutely free Virtual table top, Maptool has recently released version 1.4. One of the new features is the addition of Isometric Maps. Not "true" isometric with 30 degree perspective but "computer game" isometric that's half as high as wide.

Here's one of my test maps based upon a map by Dyson’s Dodecahedron.

I would love to see what some real cartographers could produce, so I hope you stop by and check us out.

    cheers,

    Jagged

    +1 to that

Now add Javascript for macros and I'm in heaven
I'm just sorry I can't contribute to coding. So thank you for your efforts!

Maptool is going through quite a heavy development cycle at the moment, with builds being released left right and centre. Plus we also have a dedicated development release for people to test the stuff thats on the bleeding edge.

We also continue to add new drawing features, not that that will be of interest to the gods of cartography here in the Guild

This is coming. Its not available yet, but there is now a function to evaluate javascript and that is the first step along the way to full javascript functions.

    cheers,

I would just like to mention that we have just released version 1.4.0.1

While it is still not designed as a drawing tool, we have added a feature that allows you to group drawing elements together in a way that mimics layers.

    Cheers,
