A map i just finished of the region of Korachan - the first of a series I''m planning for my Atlas Elyden.

1 minor criticism, and only because I love this map and want it to be perfect: around the city of Khadon, there are a couple of names that could benefit from being moved slightly, so they don't overlap other stuff:
-the label for Khadon itself. Might look better if you move it just slightly down and to the right.
-the label for the Shrine of Saint Charissa. What about moving it up a bit?
-also, the label for Chandurteresh; could that be moved up so it doesn't overlap what I'm guessing is a pilgrimage or caravan route?

And a question: what is that area of square-looking mountains under the Chanikhor label? An area of man-made artifacts?

Man, I could spend hours poring over this...

Yeah, I wondered about those square-ish contour lines as well. I thought maybe there was a massive terraforming operation where the people in that area were moving the earth around in impressive ways.

thanks for that, I've been meaning to clean up the label for the Shrine for some time as i realised it's too far from the label, but must have forgotten. I updated the psd, thanks again!

CHANIKOR: (han-ak-or; lit. Place of the shelf) artificially constructed region, covering an area of around 2,500-square-miles of area in N–E Korachan, S of the Adella Mtn. and N of the r. Chani. Though Korachan is filled with wastelands and barren regions aplently, the Chanikhor is noted for the strangeness of of its design; obviously hewn from the foothills of the Adalla Mtn., the region is a nightmare of architecture, with massive steps and shelves leading inexorably upwards to the Adalla mtn. Their grey-brown edges are smooth and, though the decay of aeons is easily apparent, they are relatively unmarked by the elements or life in general, though the region is replete with lichen and mosses.

Little knowledge exists of the place, with no first-hand accounts existing; most records being those of early Fifth-Age settlers arriving to the region. A Single stella was found inside the Prison Carceri by imperial explorers c 1500 RM, detailing the region; indicating that the Demiurge Vorropohaiah may have been responsible for its creation; though its purpose (if indeed purpose it has) is unknown.

The feel of the map is very modern...what is the intended feel of the world again? Early 19th century feel?
Oh and again, i really dig all those nice little icons (fish, grain, stag etc. ). Very cool. If i can, i'll rep you.

thanks! the map was intended to be around 1880's in feel ,though the colours i chose and the inclusion of the icon widgets make it feel a lot more moden. I may yet have a play with the topographical colours and go for something a bit more muted that fits in with the older theme, though that will have to come later
