    Map Trehörninge [local area]

I did a little exercise map. It is inspired by one of my favourite spots in the forest near where I live, just out of Stockholm, Sweden.

Done with Copic multiners on paper and coloured in Photoshop.

And here's a GIF of the process

I'm still not sold on the mix of iso and top down at this close scale but I'll say that the color and line work does look great though.
So one that you should be pleased with.

Nice style . I kind of agree with J. about the mix of top down and iso. Also the label looks weirdly curved. If you use the text warp effect in PS, I'd recommend to use the pen tool instead to create a curve, this will avoid this kind of bad text distorsion.

Thank you everyone, I'm glad you like it

I personally like the mixed perspective, but I agree that it is a bit off, and it probably would'n't be a smart choice for a professional commission.

By the way, I've updated the typography:

Your clients might make that choice. Some may like it a lot and want something similar.
I can see some applications for it that some clients would like.
It's definitely something to keep working at and trying to perfect.

I love those forests. Great use of the combination of line and color!

I agree with JEdward regarding the perspective but on the other hand the piece is really well executed that it's not such a huge thing. I think it does what it intends to do an looks good.

Great map, everything is very well done and harmonious. Concerning the perspective question, a lot of map are avoiding it by "circling" the elements (like the cabin and the animals), making them close-up in a different view.
