    Default Flat World

    Hey guys,

I'm posting a map that I made as a test for a quick style I was working on a while back. The original idea for it was that it is a flat world, something like Discworld I guess, hence the imaginative title. Really, the idea was for no more reason than to allow me to incorporate an interesting mountain range.

As this was a test piece I never bothered adding any more details to the map such as markers, roads, labels etc. And because I don't really intend to revisit it I thought I would upload it as is and offer it under creative commons to anyone who wants to use it for their own, non-commercial use.

That's our Ramah, a gentleman and a scholar, as always. And with a cool map to boot.

Very pretty map! I'm actually a little sorry that you're not finishing it, as I'd have loved to see it filled out with labels etc, but it's lovely as it is and kudos to you for offering it to others.

Thanks guys and it's nice to be back. Hopefully I can keep up the motivation enough to actually come up with some new stuff.

Chickpea: Yeah, I liked it enough when I did it that I quite wanted to carry on with it but as I say, it was more a style test for a quick mapping method and I didn't want to get bogged down and sidetracked from the actual goal at the time. I have two more maps in the same style and more or less in the same state that I may carry on with or post up for others to use the same as this one.
