    Default Greetings

    Hi,

I'm John, I run the Red Dice Diaries youtube channel and blog, at the urging of a some friends I've just started running a D&D campaign, I'm planning to create a world that I can run a number of different campaigns in and really wanted a map to set it off nicely. I've dusted off my old copy of Photoshop CS 5 and have had my first go at creating a map.

You can see some of them here if you're interested: https://plus.google.com/collection/sBPRgB.

I was pointed in the direction of this forum by Micheal Turney after he gave me some advice on what I'd done wrong with the rivers on my map and how to correct them, I'm hoping to pick up some more tips from the Cartographers Guild to improve my maps in future

    Regards,

    John

Hi John, welcome to the Guild!

We actually have a whole thread dedicated to rivers (you're not the first to get that wrong!!) You can take a look here if you need more info on that subject. There are a whole load of other tutorials, How To's and assorted tips in the same folder.

Best thing is to post your work in one of the Work in Progress folders and ask for advice.

Looking forward to seeing you around.
