    Post Hey!

    Greetings, Cartographers!

I'm CosmoZombie, but you can call me Cosmo if you want. I've been making maps for a little less than a decade - since the ripe old age of around 8, I think.

For the past year or so, I've been working on a series of pencil-on-paper map sketches (actually pretty intense drawings for someone with so little artistic talent) for an (alleged) fantasy series I've given up on and started over a whole bunch of times.

I've been lurking here for about that long, but I figured I'd finally introduce myself to the world, so here I am.

As far as background goes, I've never been super interested in IRL geography, but I love history and fantasy geography. I've always loved fantasy novels, and although I'm fairly new to the scene, I'm an avoid player of video game and tabletop RPGs.

I hope to make myself a real part of the community here and to make some progress on my cartography!

Hi CosmoZombie. Welcome to the guild. Since you said you've been lurking for a while I assume you already know about the tutorials section of this site. Thats a great place to begin learning how to make your cartography better. And don't forget to enter the monthly challenges. Nothing helps you improve more than practise and trying things you've never done before. The challenges will do just that. I find them a lot of fun. And don't be afraid to jump on some threads in the work in progress sections either. Those can be a great help to you.

And if you feel up to it, you can always check out the finished map threads and oogle all of the awesome maps there. While you are there, if you find a map that you really like, why not pass along some reputation to it's creator. You can do this by clicking on the little sherriffs badge looking icon at the bottom left of the author's post. And also, don't forget that you can rate finished maps as well.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy your time here at the guild.
