    Map Corstavian Map (Hand-drawn)

    First map, first post.

Map I drew for my short story.

Hand drawn with pencil and ink from scratch (no grids, no references).

Note that place names are riffed from the Finnish language (and I apologize to any Finns who can actually read my bastardization of their beautiful tongue).

That looks great! It has a very old feeling, which I love.

It's a bit lacking in geographical features like mountains and forests, but if it's not needed in the story then it's fine.

That compass/banner thing is very impressive!! It looks awesome!

Very cool. That compass/banner is awesome. Might have to rip that off at some point.

Hi Jo, welcome to the Guild! Thanks for sharing your map with us. It's lovely work and I really like the way you've drawn the sea. It's got a fantastic textured feel to it. I'll also echo Josiah's comment about the banner. It's gorgeous!

It would have been nice to see a few more features included overall, yet the simplicity has its own charm and it really focuses your eye on what is included.

Have some rep, and we'll look forward to seeing more from you soon hopefully.

Welcome to the guild. I like this map, the bridge looks awesome, especially considering it was done by hand with no grids or references. Great job! have some rep!

Love that title banner and rose design, and the water, the bridge and your lettering with the labels. Very nicely done. Welcome to the Guild, Jo Chapman.
