Looking for D&D 5E town maps, keep maps and dungeon maps of the kind found in adventure paths such as Princes of the Apocalypse (example: http://www.enworld.org/forum/attachm...8&d=1427472010).
The project is a setting and campaign (adventure path) for the SRD 5E and we will need several maps for various encounters and locations. There would be potentially 5 city maps and 10-15 dungeon maps of various size.
Style
Specifics are still being worked out. Professional quality is a must, but it need not be extraordinarily detailed or artistic.
Quality & Size
Semi-professional quality, required for print and web. The maps would not be larger than 8.5X11 each, but full color. Vector great, but not necessary if the rasterized version is 300 DPI at 8.5 X 11.
Time Constraints
We have lots of time. We are in pre-alpha now and will move into a kickstarter at the end of the year. We are being open about development, bringing the community in as we go.
Copyright
We would just want the non-exclusive license to use the maps, brand them and put them in our published materials. The artist would have permission to republish, redistribute, commercially distribute, resell, however they see fit.
Payment
I have no idea how much a project like this would cost, so it's hard to say if we could pay per map, pay per project, or what. My preference is to give authorship credit on the books themselves and pay through royalties. Upfront cash will be limited, if any. Could also commission based upon success of the kickstarter (maybe we can use the illustrations to promote kickstarter but are not licensed to use them until kickstarter earns the money--or something like that). Anyway, point is, willing to work out any number of desirable deals.
As for the project, it isn't a dud. I'm a published novelist, I have use of a publishing imprint. This will be published, we just need the kickstarter to help market it. I'm a professional marketer as well, so in this case you can rest assured that the project is well navigated.
