A nice start here in a different sort of style. I like the trade icons to-be (I assume) and how they almost form petals around the locations (so you can really see which trade cities are "flowering" ). It's simple and effective and I look forwards to seeing some more of it hopefully before the end of the challenge!

Ooh, pretty! I love the style, and the wavy ocean looks really cool.

Those icons are very nice, I don't understand them... but they're nice. What is the meaning of the different colours and 'petals'?

To me some of the mountains seem a bit to bright white flat.

Totally agree with that, i'll try to fix it but i'm not sure i'll have enough time, i want to finish the work on icons and labels first so that the map is understandable.

Ah okay, I understand now. A very clever idea! Just adding those little icons adds so much depth to it. I can imagine the trade routes and somewhat what the towns are like, it's great.

    Thx Josiah
Next step: Start to add labels and work on icons to show travel time, i hope i'll have time to rework a bit the basemap.

Wow thanks for those kind comments guys!
At first i wasnt very satisfied with the basemap so i tried to focus the map on icons.
Icons are created with illustrator and photoshop, and a lot of inspiration come from this site, a gold mine for map icons : https://thenounproject.com/
