Wip World Map (sort of a crossover project with Sapiento...)

Alright, I'm pretty late in the game with this one here. It's a world map for the same client Sapiento has been doing his latest maps. The continent in the south-east is actually Sapiento's Multania, so I felt audacious enough to call this a crossover.

That's awesome that you're doing a crossover with Sap.

It's looking fabulous so far. The shapes of these continents aren't my favorite, but at least I like the shapes of the new continents a bit better than Multania, because it was so square, but I guess it's up to the client.

Josiah, yeah, Multania struck me as oddly blocky, but Sapiento has done a great job with it.

Okay, time to end this day with an update. Got most of the forests done, added a parchment texture and fiddled around with the ocean's color and texturing. Probably gooing to ditch that last step again, though.

The numbers on the map stand for the locations of oasis.

I think this one really works better. Began with the shading on the mountains, but I'm really proud with the way the oceans turned out. The wave pattern was a bit tricky, but I believe it works well with the overall coloring and shading of the oceans. Hope you like it, too!

    Looking good.

The ocean texture is interesting. Not sure if it's my favorite.. I'll have to see as the map progresses.

Okay, cliffs, more shading, and the base color for the mountains.
