    Default Town of Wayham

Tried out a style for villages/towns. This is the result.

Placement of houses, roads, and water was automated (with an online tool).

This looks really good, and a nice development of the style you've been working on recently.

I really like the textured terrain. It works beautifully. And those little cobblestone paths are fantastic! The crops look great too.

Do you mind sharing some info on the online tool you used to generate the layout? Just curious.

Yep, looks awesome. I like that you're trying town maps now, they'll go along great with your regional and world maps! I love how similar the styles are, the regional and town maps would really match. How long do you think it would take you could recreate a map like this?

I see a few square trees by the edge of the forest, but I guess this is just testing.

Thanks! I just made a similar map and it took about 5 hours - but I guess 3 is minimum.

I have not corrected a few small mistakes as I wanted to move on to some real projects.

Aw, nice! It would be nice to be able to just make a map in an evening... But due to my different style it can't really be done.

As others have said, the terrain is fantastic. I love those textured trees and the cobblestone paths. As for the buildings themselves, I can't help but think that making the roof-line a tad more straight and adding subtle color variations would have made the town itself more dynamic.

    Cheers,
