Not to shabby for a first map.

One issue is the rivers, they don't usually branch and reconnect this way. Near Vistria, those 2 rivers would not connect to each other and same issue with the river near destradell. Rivers don't usually branch on their way to the ocean ( except right at the delta ), Rivers usually join together as they flow to the sea. Multiple rivers combining into 1 main outflow. Manmade channels yes, naturally no.

Thanks for the feedback! I do really want to look at how rivers and mountains form. I tried considering the islands as an extension of the mountain ranges into the sea, but didn't look too much into the rivers.

great colors. I'd suggest adding a coastline of some sort to help transition/contrast from land and sea. keep it up.
