    Map Land of Arandrir

Here is a black and white practice map I did. I basically did the whole thing today, which I am very impressed with myself for doing.

I threw on some labels but there is really no backstory behind the map.

And here is a version without labels.

You're right. That IS really impressive

Nice map, Josiah. Wish I could draw so well and so fast!

The only nit I could possibly pick (and it is a really nit-picky thing to say) but the font sizes on the labelled version seem to be all different sizes.

That's great Josiah ! Very good terrain filling and I really like how your hills aren't all round, it really sells them map. I'd just propose a minor tweak. At the mouth of the rivers and where the rivers connect to the lake, you could erase the separation (coast and lake border) to get a more flowing feeling from your river system. Appart from that, it's a beauty and indeed impressive.

Wow! Really nice job, your forest are really well done. River might taper and branch more, and maybe one of the mountain ranges has a few offshoots, but overall quite impressive

The map looks great! For some reason I can't really pin down, I love the dunes in the waste.
The only thing that seems a bit off to me is that because of the mountains and the shape of the land, I get the impression that I'm looking at the land at an angle (not sure if that was intentional or not), but the rhumb lines are seen top down (does that make sense? Sorry, English isn't my native language). Other than that, it's really beautiful.

Great map Josiah! Only minor nitpick is that to me it seems like the mountains are leaning slightly to the left, but no one else mentioned that so that might just be me. And I double thomrey, I would remove the 'coastlines' between the rivers and the lake and ocean so that the water actually connects. Great job on this!

Nice work, Josiah, and even more impressive for being done in a day!

Just practice! You'll get there eventually.
Yes, you're right about the font, I didn't spend too much time on it.

Yes, that's an excellent Idea. I should do that.

At first I didn't want the map to be too cluttered with rivers but there ended up being plenty of room so I should have added some more. I'll keep it in mind for my next map.
What do you mean by "maybe one of the mountain ranges has a few offshoots"? Do you mean I should add some offshoots to it?

You're right about the land being at an angle and the rhumb lines not being so. I've seen and drawn inspiration from a number of other maps like that so I didn't think it would be a problem.

Yes, after I finished that I actually noticed that with some of the mountains, I'll have to work on that and make sure it doesn't happen in my next maps.
Thanks! By the way, your map was the main inspiration for this.
