    Default Greetings From the North(west)!

    Hello!

I have recently started on my first world but I have been writing stories for a few years. Only a few months ago did I begin world building and making maps (a proverbial toddler). All I really like to do is make stuff; I play clarinet, I like to cook, I love building stuff in games, I want to learn to weld and do machining, I want to get into oil painting, lean to make games, maybe even make a con-lang or two. I'm a night person through and through. I work a graveyard shift and I love it. I also play lots of games and enjoy exercise but I'm not much of a sports guy. I also love D&D (I imagine that's why a lot of people get into this) but have only played off and on over the years. I laugh at my own jokes and love puns so I'm one of the best people on the planet. That pretty much covers it.

    Thanks for reading!

Hi Asgrimur, welcome to the Guild! You have many creative hobbies, so I'm sure you'll do well with map-making.

Head for the tutorials area if you're looking for some tips to boost your skills, or, if you've got a map you'd like to share, you can start a thread in one of the work-in-progress folders, or in Finished Maps if you're done with it. If you need help with anything, just ask. Look forward to seeing some of your work.

Thanks very much! I was actually looking for tips on how to do different climates i.e. tundra to temperate to desert by hand. Thanks a ton!
