    Default Greetings from a Rookie

Hi everyone. I'm new in town.

I want to be hobby carthographer. I try to draw some maps for my campaign and actually i want to write a fantastic romance with my campaign. I came here to improve my carthography knowledge and create my own masterpieces. I have so much to learn but i'm always hungry for improving myself. As a software i using Krita (its like Freeware Photoshop) also i have Gimp and Inkspace on my computer but i have never used both of them. I hope your guidance will carry me to the top.

I hope we will have fun together

Hi Batu, and welcome to the Guild. There are a few Krita users around here, but probably a minority compared to Gimp (although I think you'd probably pick up the basics of Gimp very quickly, as many of the tools are quite similar). There are lots of tutorials for Gimp, but I'm not sure if there are any for Krita. If you need help getting started, start a thread and ask for advice. Looking forward to seeing some of your work.

Well, quite understandable but do not worry, we all start somewhere and natural talent will never overcome practice and determination.
We all wish to create, but do we really create?
What we draw and what we write is part of us.
No we do not create, we simply discover who we are.

Excellent! One thing I must say, and it is REALLY important. It will take time to find a style that suits you well, or even more time to build up your own style, but that's the fun part of mapping, there is always something to learn always something to improve.
